For the third year in a row, EDOTCO Pakistan returned to Pehli Kiran School to continue a collaboration that has steadily transformed from a seasonal gesture into a meaningful community relationship. What began as a simple initiative to help students stay warm during winter has grown into a thoughtful, multi-dimensional programme that blends care, continuity and practical learning.

This year, a team of 30 EDOTCO Rangers dedicated 240 volunteer hours to support 330 students, a scale that reflects both the commitment of our people and the growing trust between EDOTCO and the school community.

A Relationship Built on Familiar Faces and Shared Understanding

Stepping into Pehli Kiran School now feels like reconnecting with old friends. Teachers welcomed EDOTCO Rangers with ease of familiarity, and many students recognized the team from previous years. Their excitement was immediate and genuine, creating an atmosphere that felt less like an outreach event and more like a reunion.

The walkaround of the school grounds provided a snapshot of the environment in which these children learn every day. Despite limited resources, the classrooms were full of energy, and the school staff worked tirelessly to create a safe, encouraging space for every child.

A particularly touching moment came when students presented handmade thank-you cards. Colourful and imperfect, yet filled with heartfelt words, the cards captured the emotional resonance of this partnership. They reminded us that what we offer is more than material support; it is a recognition of their dignity, hopes, and potential.

Deepening Impact Through Practical Safety and Hygiene Learning

As with previous years, the initiative also placed strong emphasis on knowledge-building. An Occupational Health & Safety specialist from EDOTCO Pakistan conducted a safety and hygiene awareness session designed to be simple, relatable and immediately useful in the students’ daily routines.

Over time, this session has become a core component of the programme. Each year, it is refined to engage students more effectively, helping them understand how everyday habits contribute to their wellbeing, their attendance and the overall cleanliness of their school environment.

A Living Expression of Tower to Community

After a brief address by the Country Managing Director, Abdul Aziz, winter uniforms and sweaters were distributed to the students. What may seem like a simple bundle of clothing carries a deeper meaning in this community. A warm uniform allows children to walk to school without fear of the cold. Most importantly, it encourages them to continue showing up, even on difficult winter mornings.

This programme is more than a yearly activity; it reflects EDOTCO Group’s Tower to Community commitment, the belief that our responsibility does not end with building infrastructure.
