With more than 30 years of investment experience as well as extensive knowledge in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets, Ken most recently was an Executive Director, Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad until 2018. Previously, he was a Board Member and Advisor to the CEO of Qatar Holding LLC, the principal investment vehicle of the Qatar Investment Authority; he also oversaw the QIA’s global direct investments as well as its investments in private equity, special situation and venture capital funds. Prior to then, he was Co-Head of the Asia-Pacific Corporate Finance Group at Citigroup Global Markets, having joined Salomon Brothers in New York. Prior to Salomon, Ken was with Lehman Brothers in its Merchant Banking and Principal Investment businesses.

A national partner at Arthur Andersen from 1994 to 1997, he was subsequently appointed Worldwide Partner from 1997 to 2001. Then, a Partner in Ernst & Young from 2002, he retired in 2016 in Hospitality, Property and Infrastructure Group of EY. In the profession for over 37 years, he was involved in audits, investigations, financial consulting, initial public offerings, corporatisation and privatisation of entities in varying industries. He was a council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) from 2007 to 2011 and a committee member of ACCA Malaysia’s Advisory Committee from 2007 to 2009 and served in various committees and working groups of MIA and The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Roslina is an experienced investment management professional with 28 years of hands-on experience in the asset management industry both in Malaysia and internationally. Her last role until August 2021 was as Group CEO of ValueCap (a Malaysian Government-Linked Investment Company). Prior to joining Valuecap, she was the Managing Director of Amundi Malaysia and Director of Amundi Islamic Malaysia. Roslina joined Amundi Malaysia in 2008, prior to which she held fund management roles at CIMB-Principal Asset Management from 2004 to 2008 and served across various units of AMMB Holdings Berhad namely AmInvestment Management, Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank/Arab-Malaysian Asset Management Berhad, and Arab-Malaysian Unit Trusts Berhad from 1990 to 2004. Roslina holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, USA and Master of Business Administration from University of New South Wales & The University of Sydney, Australia.

Currently, Group CFO, Axiata, Nik Rizal brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in accounting, finance and investments. His last position was as Group CFO at RHB Bank, a position he has held since early 2021 until end of 2023. Prior to that, he was with Khazanah Nasional Berhad, where Nik Rizal held the position of Executive Director, Investments leading investment and divestments projects, value creation activities and overall asset class strategy execution both domestically and internationally in the areas of telecommunications, media and technology. Nik Rizal was also on the Boards of Telekom Malaysia and Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad.

Prior to his current position as Group Chief Strategy & Technology Officer, Axiata, appointed in 2021, Thomas was Axiata Group’s Executive Vice President for Technology since January 2020 while continuing to serve as CEO of Smart Axiata in Cambodia, a role which he held since mid-2008. He grew Smart from greenfield, number eight position in the market-to-market leadership, including through acquisition of Star-Cell in 2011 and the merger with Hello Axiata in 2013. Thomas has gained vast experience in the telecommunications industry during his tenure in key management positions with Siemens AG’s Communication Division and Nokia Siemens Networks. Thomas was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Azerfon in Azerbaijan.

He was a Senior Manager at IT Convergence from 2003 to 2004 and Senior Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young from 2000 to 2003. Peter earned his B.A. in Economics in 1995 from Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), an M.A. in Economics in 2000 from Nihon University (Japan), and an M.B.A. in 2006 from London Business School (United Kingdom).

Currently, Head of Private Equity Department of KWAP, Saifulbahri has over 23 years of experience in various technology related sectors ranging from IT services to manufacturing. Saiful spent the last 18 years in Private Equity and Venture Capital investing in various stages of enterprise development and its funding needs. He is also active in the development of the domestic and international private investing eco-system from influencing policymaking to building linkages with international eco-systems. Adlan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of EDOTCO Group on 1 November 2020. Previously, he has served as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of PT XL Axiata Tbk (Indonesia). Having been with the Axiata Group more than 20 years since he joined Celcom in 2003 as Vice President, Finance, Adlan rose rapidly within Celcom. In his early career, he also worked with Arthur Andersen & Co in Assurance and Business Advisory for 9 years.

Chief Financial Officer

More than 17 years’ experience in banking industry with extensive knowledge in financial advisory, structured finance, acquisition finance and project finance. Started his career at Citibank Berhad and later, Macquarie Malaysia and RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Bhd. Prior to joining Axiata as the Chief Corporate Development Officer in 2011, Annis was the Chief Officer and Head of Investment Banking for Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad. Annis took on the role as the Chief Financial Officer of EDOTCO Group Sdn Bhd as of 1 June 2020.

Director, Group Strategy & Acting Country Managing Director Sri Lanka

Gayan Koralage is one of the pioneering members of edotco Group. He speaks and writes frequently as a thought leader in the mobile and neutral party host telecom tower industry, covering key topics of business case for 5G, network disruption, digital economy, digital transformation and inter-generation opportunities in the 2020 decade. Gayan currently serves as the Director, Group Strategy, responsible for long term strategy, pricing and commercials, analytics, bite sized M&A deals, new market entrance performance analysis and project management. And served additional interim roles of acting country managing director of Pakistan and Sr Lanka. He spearheaded the formation and growth of edotco since 2013, and the sale of 32% stake of edotco to Japanese and Malaysian sovereign wealth funds in early 2017.\n\nGayan joined Telekom Malaysia International (“TMI”) in 2005, where he was the Assistant Vice President of Group Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions and Special Projects. His credentials span financing, funding and investment initiatives across the TMI footprint, business turnarounds, running end-to-end processes and negotiations in mergers and acquisitions for Axiata Group, as well as post-merger integration initiatives.\n\nHe has been instrumental in finalising key M&A/ Corporate Finance/ Business Development projects for Axiata Sdn. Bhd. in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Iran, Myanmar, Laos, East Timor, Maldives and Philippines. He has been significantly involved in corporate exercises involving Axiata’s subsidiaries.\n\nGayan is a Chartered Accountant in the UK (CIMA) and is a Graduate in BSC accountancy and Financial Management from University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Sri Lanka.
