Its operational presence spans both mature and emerging markets, including Malaysia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The company has steadily increased its tenancy ratio to 1.68x, enhancing asset efficiency while supporting rapid network expansion for mobile network operators (MNOs) across Asia.

A key factor behind EDOTCO’s recognition was its ability to adapt and lead amidst industry shifts. In Malaysia, EDOTCO played a pivotal role in enabling the nation’s 5G rollout, contributing to a quarter of the total sites deployed and supporting Digital Nasional Berhad in achieving 82% coverage of populated areas. It also contributed to over 97% 4G coverage nationwide under the government’s JENDELA initiative. These efforts translated into meaningful impact for nearly 27 million Malaysians, reinforcing the company’s role as a critical enabler of digital inclusion.

In Bangladesh, the company restructured its pricing models and strategically built high-yield sites, significantly improving its tenancy ratio year-on-year. Cambodia witnessed the largest tower rollout in EDOTCO’s history, supported by streamlined permitting processes and expanded energy partnerships.

Meanwhile, the Philippines market saw its highest co-location orders since EDOTCO’s entry, as strategic engagement with key MNOs boosted infrastructure demand and expanded market presence. Even in challenging markets like Pakistan, the Group achieved a profitable turnaround through focused energy efficiency and cost control initiatives.

What also set EDOTCO apart in Twimbit’s eyes was its commitment to future-ready innovation. The company has embraced technology as a core enabler, investing in AI-powered infrastructure planning tools like its proprietary NaPA+ platform.

This digital solution enables data-driven network deployment, improving hit-rate conversions, and accelerating site rollouts. EDOTCO has also expanded its service offerings beyond traditional towers—deploying small cells, in-building solutions, and smart street furniture that integrate connectivity seamlessly into urban landscapes.

In addition to operational excellence and innovation, EDOTCO’s approach to sustainability and stakeholder impact played a crucial role in securing the award. The company has embedded ESG into its core strategy, advancing solarisation across its tower portfolio, adopting green electricity in its Malaysian offices, and significantly reducing emissions in line with its Carbon Reduction Roadmap. Through structured CSR programmes, EDOTCO has reached nearly 32,000 beneficiaries, while its employee volunteerism programme has contributed over 16,000 hours of community service—reflecting a strong culture of purpose-driven leadership.
