EDOTCO Group has been recognised as a regional leader in procurement excellence, winning the “Leaders in Procurement Transformation for Resilient Supply Chains (Large Enterprise)” award at the 3rd ASEAN Procurement Innovation Summit & Awards 2025, held recently in Malaysia.

This category honours large enterprises that have redefined procurement as a critical enabler of operational resilience, transparency, and strategic value, especially in a time of increasing global supply chain uncertainty and complex market dynamics. The award reflects EDOTCO’s successful transformation of its procurement function into a future-ready, digitally driven, and sustainability-aligned operation that supports infrastructure growth across nine dynamic Asian markets.

Setting the Standard: EDOTCO’s Procurement Journey

Representing EDOTCO, Jayaprakash Krishnan, Head of Group SCM Shared Services, delivered a high-impact presentation under the award category. He showcased how EDOTCO’s SCM team has evolved its procurement approach to be more agile, digitally enabled, and aligned with sustainability and governance objectives. His presentation captured the attention of the audience and contributed to EDOTCO’s win in the Large Enterprise category. This award was endorsed by MIPMM (Malaysian Institute of Purchasing and Material Management).

“This award is not just a milestone, it’s a moment of validation for the quiet but crucial work that procurement professionals do every day,” said Jayaprakash Krishnan. “We’ve built procurement into a capability that adds value beyond cost savings. It enables faster infrastructure rollout, stronger partnerships, and sustainable growth across the region.”

Jayaprakash’s presentation addressed the team effort that earned strong recognition from industry peers, highlighting EDOTCO as a model for how procurement can become a strategic pillar in achieving business continuity, regulatory alignment, and long-term resilience.

Procurement as a Catalyst for ASEAN’s Future

Held annually, the ASEAN Procurement Innovation Summit serves as a regional platform for dialogue and knowledge-sharing on procurement reform, innovation, and governance. This year’s summit came at a time when ASEAN countries are implementing bold procurement reforms to improve transparency, curb corruption, and institutionalise fairness through stronger legislative and performance audit mechanisms.

Against this backdrop, the summit explored how procurement can lead to addressing global disruptions, driving ESG impact, and fostering inclusive economic growth. Topics ranged from supply chain diversification and digital tools to balancing cost control with value creation and ethical sourcing.

EDOTCO’s recognition affirms the Group’s commitment to align private sector best practices with regional aspirations for good governance, sustainable infrastructure, and digital transformation. With this award, EDOTCO reinforces its position not only as a digital connectivity leader, but as a trusted advocate for transformation in procurement and supply chain excellence across ASEAN.
