In 2023, EDOTCO Malaysia achieved a significant milestone by upgrading existing 4G towers to 5G. This expansion elevated the total number of 5G-enabled 5G sites nationwide.


Rather than constructing new infrastructure, EDOTCO leveraged its existing assets, optimising resources and minimising environmental impact. These efforts are in alignment with the company’s long-term strategy, launched in 2021, to support the Malaysian government's ambitious goal of reaching 80% 5G coverage in populated areas by the end of 2024.

By implementing eco-friendly and energy-efficient technologies in its towers, the company not only supports the country’s 5G rollout but also helps reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption. Expanding Impact Across Our Footprints


EDOTCO Pakistan and EDOTCO Sri Lanka have also reached key milestones. In Pakistan, EDOTCO strengthened its partnership with a mobile network operator undergoing aggressive expansion following a merger. Despite challenges such as budgetary constraints, vendor delays, and contractual issues, EDOTCO Pakistan improved its Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) score over three years through enhanced communication, operational efficiencies, and commercial negotiations.


In Sri Lanka, EDOTCO introduced its first LED advertising panel within its network of 700 smart lamp poles. The company has also partnered to integrate EV charging stations into these poles, addressing the country's growing need for EV infrastructure while diversifying revenue streams and improving energy efficiency. This innovative approach sets a new precedent in the industry by transforming infrastructure into multi-functional assets.
