This year, we proudly commemorated World Health and Safety Day across all our operating markets, uniting our teams under a shared purpose: to create a workplace where everyone feels safe, supported, and empowered.

In line with this year’s theme set by the International Labour Organization (ILO)- “Revolutionizing Health and Safety: The Role of AI and Digitalization at Work” - our celebrations focused on the evolving role of technology in shaping safer work environments. As a regional leader in integrated telecommunications infrastructure, we recognize the critical importance of leveraging innovation to address today’s workplace health and safety challenges.
While we embrace digital transformation, our core commitment remains unchanged: ensuring that every employee, contractor, business partner, and stakeholder returns home safely every day.

Regional Engagement, United Purpose

Throughout the week, EDOTCO offices across Asia came together to mark this important occasion with a series of meaningful initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness, promoting proactive behaviours, and strengthening our collective safety culture.

From Malaysia to Bangladesh, our teams participated in a variety of activities that brought health and safety messages to life:

Blood Donation Drives
In collaboration with local healthcare partners, our teams organized blood donation campaigns to support community health services. These initiatives not only helped save lives but also underscored our belief in extending care beyond the workplace.

Interactive Safety-Themed Games
Engaging and educational, the games were designed to reinforce essential safety practices in a fun and memorable way. Employees tested their knowledge, sharpened their reflexes, and walked away with deeper awareness of day-to-day workplace risks.

Expert-led Awareness Talks
Internal and external experts hosted insightful sessions on current safety challenges, including updates on occupational health regulations and the application of AI in risk management. These sessions encouraged open dialogue and empowered our teams to take ownership of their own safety.

Live Emergency Response Demonstrations
Real-time simulations and demonstrations showcased best practices in emergency response, hazard management, and first aid. These hands-on experiences provided practical knowledge and highlighted the importance of preparedness and quick decision-making in critical situations.
